My name is Stephen English, and I am from Dundalk, Ireland. I graduated from Dublin City University with an Honours degree in Computer Applications.
Since leaving college I have pursued a career as a freelance journalist generally specialising in motorsports. My work has been published by numerous newspapers and in the portfolio page on this site it is possible to view examples of my work. Since April 2010 I have been writing a Formula 1 and MotoGP column for the Dundalk Democrat.
I am passionate about all sports so upon graduating sports journalism was a natural step for me to make. My work has been well received and I relish the opportunity to analyse and report on events.
While my columns cover the international motorsports of Formula 1 and MotoGP I have also covered local and national rallying as well following Irish Motorcycle Road Racing.
Outside of sports I have a keen interest in movies and music.
