Justine Henin has called time on her tennis career for the second time.
The world number thirteen cited a recurring elbow injury as the cause of her retirement.
The 28 year old said that her elbow had been “damaged” in Australia and that doctors had advised her that there was no option but to call time on her distinguished career.
The Belgian won seven Grand Slams, and an Olympic gold medal in a career that saw her end the dominance of the Williams sisters and become the leading lady on the WTA Tour.
