Kubica faces anxious wait to assess the condition of his right hand

Robert Kubica is out of surgery but according to the hand specialist who assisted in theatre, Professor Igor Rossello, the Polish driver faces an anxious week waiting for his condition, and prognosis, to become clear.

Speaking to Italian media Rossello said, “We have to wait at least a week to see if the hand survives.”

Kubica was in surgery for over seven hours with two teams of doctors working on him. One team worked on his fractured leg while another team undertook bone reconstruction before attending to tissue and nerve damage.
