Mature Pedrosa learning from his past mistakes

Having spent the last six years racing at the front of the MotoGP field but unable to challenge for a title Dani Pedrosa realises that claiming consistent points is crucial to battle for the title this year.

Pedrosa has is third in the championship, 19 points behind Jorge Lorenzo and Casey Stoner, and has been exceptionally consistent so far in 2012. Having finished on the podium in all but one race Pedrosa has found the consistency that he needs but to win the championship he needs to win races soon.

“Basically in the championship you need to obviously win races but you also need to finish races,” commented Pedrosa. “In the past I think my mistake was that I always missed two or three races per year. I try to win but also I try to stay on the bike and be on the grid every weekend.”

The next MotoGP race is at the Sachsenring inGermany, where Pedrosa has been victorious the last two years.
