Tactics cost Pedrosa dearly in Assen

Dani Pedrosa led for long periods of the Dutch TT before losing the lead to Casey Stoner in the final third of the race.

The Spaniard showed great pace throughout the race but ultimately was unable to hold off the challenge of his Repsol Honda teammate. Speaking after the race Pedrosa clearly felt that there was little more that he could have done to win the race.

“I’m not disappointed because I did my best.,” said the Honda rider. “Perhaps I didn’t choose the right strategy and today made a small mistake by letting Casey follow me all the time. It looks like he is pulling the best races in the worst weekends!”
