Stoner declared fit to race

Reigning MotoGP champion Casey Stoner has been declared fit to race at Indianapolis after his heavy crash in yesterday’s qualifying session. The Australian suffered torn ligaments in his right ankle as well as multiple small fractures but has passed his pre-race physical and will take part in morning warm up.

Trailling Jorge Lorenzo by 32 points it is imperitive that Stoner can start the race and finish on the podium otherwise his title challenge would have suffered a huge blow.
