Saturday at Misano dawned with some very welcome sunshine after yesterday’s day of wet practice and ended with a surprise in MotoGP qualifying with Marc Marquez setting the fourth fastest time and qualifying off the front row for the first time in 2014.
After qualifying Leon Camier talked about how he is using the rear brake on corner entry to initiate the turn in of his Aspar Honda. The Englishman has had to learn this technique since arriving in the premier class and is using motocross to teach himself how to be able to minimise the load off the front during braking before tipping the bike into the corner
Front row for Alex Rins in Moto3 with the Spaniard continuing his return to form in recent races. Having announced his move to the Pons team in Moto2 he can race without pressure for the rest of the season and try and get back into title contention
