After spending time in the MotoGP paddock it can take some getting used to when you arrive at Cadwell Park! The contrasts are huge with the vast garages of Indy replaced by awnings and two pit areas. The expansive run off areas of Brno replaced by grass along the tree lined Lincolnshire circuit.
Cadwell is one of the most evocative circuits in the UK and one that leaves any viewer breathless. The track is six paces wide at the world famous mountain and from there riders dive into the trees through the esses. It’s a unique challenge that epitomises the challenge of the British Superbike championship.
With 13 rounds during the season the riders are given every challenge imaginable with the wide open Silverstone in direct contrast to this weekend’s venue. Add in Snetterton, Brands Hatch, Donington and a host of other British venues and you’ve got a tremendous level of variation.
